“A picture is worth a thousand words”... or as I like to say, “I can show you better than I can tell you.” Illustration is my first creative skill and one that I pull out my back pocket when it comes time to start making abstract concepts tangible. I draw to communicate concepts, aid in storytelling, plan designs, develop assets, etc… and also just for the pure pleasure of it!
Here are some projects and design artifacts where I used illustration as the primary visual or as part of my process.
Storyboard sketches for a promotional video for an app
Skeuomorphic iconography for Workday Mobile features
"Flat" iconography for Workday Mobile Recruiting and Jobs features
Illustrations, typography and photography combine in a graduate student book design project
Wireframe sketches of a charity/donations mobile app created during a mobile UX design workshop
